...BRIEF PERIOD OF SNOW SHOWERS THIS EVENING...

AN AREA OF SNOW SHOWERS EXTENDS FROM NORTHERN IOWA TO JUST EAST OF
THE DES MOINES AREA...SOUTHEAST TOWARD OTTUMWA AT 630 PM CST. THE
AREA OF SNOW COMBINED WITH GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL REDUCE
VISIBILITY AT TIMES TO ONE HALF MILE FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
BY 945 PM THIS EVENING...THE SNOW SHOWERS WILL MOVE OUT OF THE
AREA WITH ONLY LINGERING FLURRIES EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.

PLEASE CHECK THE LATEST ROAD CONDITIONS PRIOR TO HEADING OUT THIS
EVENING. MANY ROAD...THOUGH PASSABLE...REMAIN SLICK IN SPOTS.
EXPECT SOME REDUCED VISIBILITY THIS EVENING ACROSS THE REGION AND
IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS OF SLICK AND SNOW
COVERED AREAS ON ROADS AS WELL AS BRIEF REDUCTIONS TO VISIBILITY
...ESPECIALLY IN RURAL AREAS.
