...PRIME BLIZZARD ENVIRONMENT TONIGHT INTO MONDAY...

.SNOW SHOWERS COUPLED WITH VERY STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO SURGE
INTO NORTHWEST IOWA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND SPREAD OVER THE REST
OF THE STATE THIS EVENING. SNOW SQUALLS...WHICH ARE BRIEF BURSTS
OF SNOW...ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR AND CAUSE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING SNOW
AND REDUCE VISIBILITY. IN ADDITION TO THE FALLING SNOW...THE DEEP
SNOW PACK IN PLACE ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN IOWA WILL AID IN THE
BLIZZARD CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH
OVERNIGHT HOURS TO MONDAY MORNING. TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DURING THIS TIME AS SNOW BLOWS ACROSS ROADS
AND VISIBILITY DROPS TO NEAR ZERO...PARTICULARLY DURING THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...GENERALLY LESS THAN 2 INCHES
  BUT WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTHWEST WIND 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
  NEAR 50 MPH AT TIMES. VISIBILITIES LOOK TO DROP BELOW ONE
  QUARTER MILE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD WITH NEAR WHITEOUT
  CONDITIONS AT TIMES...PARTICULARLY DURING FALLING SNOW SHOWERS.
  IN ADDITION TO THE FALLING SNOW...THE DEEP SNOW PACK IN PLACE
  POTENTIALLY COULD BREAK LOOSE AND AID IN THE BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND RESTRICTIVE
