AND MONDAY...

.A STRONG ARCTIC COLD FRONT AND INCREASING NORTHWEST WINDS WILL
AFFECT THE AREA FROM EARLY MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON.
A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE SLIPPERY
ROADS AND POOR TRAVEL AT TIMES LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THE DAY MONDAY.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6 PM CST
MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6 PM CST MONDAY.

* TIMING...STRONG WINDS AND POOR TRAVEL ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
  AFTER WEST OF INTERSTATE 35 AFTER 3 AM MONDAY AND EAST OF
  INTERSTATE 35 AFTER 6 AM MONDAY.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH WILL DEVELOP
  AFTER SUNRISE MONDAY. WINDS WILL INCREASE TO NEAR 30 MPH AT
  TIMES DURING THE MORNING WITH GUSTS NEAR 40 MPH AT TIMES DURING
  THE DAY. WITH BLOWING SNOW...THE VISIBILITY MAY DROP TO UNDER
  ONE HALF A MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...RECENT SNOWFALL THIS WEEKEND AND STRONG WINDS WILL
  LEAD TO BLOWING SNOW CAUSING ROADS TO BECOME SNOW COVERED AND
  SLIPPERY. THIS WILL RESULT IN PERIODS OF POOR TRAVEL WITH
  VISIBILITY REDUCTIONS ALSO MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS AT TIMES.
  WITH COLD TEMPERATURES...BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS BELOW ZERO
  WILL ALSO RESULT FOR MUCH OF THE MORNING MONDAY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT THE
VISIBILITY WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW
AROUND. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
