THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS CANCELLED THE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.

ALTHOUGH STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MID AFTERNOON...
VISIBILITY RESTRICTIONS DUE TO BLOWING SNOW HAVE IMPROVED AND WILL
CONTINUE TO DO SO. AS A RESULT...THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL
BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE. TRAVELERS SHOULD STILL EXPECT DRIFTING
ACROSS ROADWAYS WHICH COULD PRODUCE SLICK CONDITIONS.

AFTERNOON...

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL
  CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON CAUSING REDUCED VISIBILITY.
  THIS WILL BE ESPECIALLY TRUE IN THE LOCATIONS THAT RECEIVED THE
  HEAVIEST SNOWFALL YESTERDAY AS WELL AS IN THE OPEN OR
  UNPROTECTED AREAS.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTHWEST OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40
  MPH ARE POSSIBLE. VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW WILL OFTEN BE
  BELOW ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL LOOKS TO REMAIN DIFFICULT DUE TO REDUCED
  VISIBILITY AND SNOW COVERED ROADS THIS MORNING. IF YOU MUST
  VENTURE OUT...ALLOW EXTRA TRAVEL TIME AND PLEASE DRIVE
  CAUTIOUSLY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW
AROUND. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
