...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY...

.SNOW SHOWERS EMBEDDED WITHIN LARGER AREAS OF LIGHTER SNOW...AND
COUPLED WITH VERY STRONG WINDS...ARE EXPECTED TO SURGE INTO
NORTHWEST IOWA TONIGHT. SNOW SQUALLS...WHICH ARE BRIEF BURSTS OF
SNOW...ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR AND CAUSE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING SNOW AND
REDUCE VISIBILITY. IN ADDITION TO THE FALLING SNOW...THE DEEP SNOW
PACK IN PLACE ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN IOWA MAY AID IN THE BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY LATE THIS EVENING INTO MONDAY MORNING IF
THE TOP LAYER OF WET SNOW CAN BE OVERCOME BY THE WIND. TRAVEL MAY
BECOME EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DURING THIS TIME AS SNOW BLOWS ACROSS
ROADS AND VISIBILITY DROPS...PARTICULARLY DURING THE OVERNIGHT

...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 PM CST MONDAY...

* TIMING...WINDS SHOULD GRADUALLY INCREASE...AND VISIBILITIES
  DETERIORATE...THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS WITH THE MOST SEVERE
  CONDITIONS EXPECTED TO OCCUR OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING.

* STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...GENERALLY AROUND AN INCH OR
  LESS...BUT NARROW BANDS OF LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTHWEST WIND 25 TO 35 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL
  GUSTS TO NEAR 45 MPH. VISIBILITIES MAY DROP TO ONE QUARTER MILE
  OR LESS AT TIMES...PARTICULARLY DURING HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS.

* IMPACTS...CONSIDERABLE BLOWING SNOW AND RESTRICTED VISIBILITIES WILL
  CAUSE DANGEROUS TRAVEL IN SOME AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THOSE OPEN
  OR UNPROTECTED. CONDITIONS MAY CHANGE RAPIDLY...EVEN ACROSS
  INDIVIDUAL COUNTIES. WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE MAY ALSO AFFECT
  DRIVING OF LOW PROFILE VEHICLES AND LOOSE LIGHT WEIGHT OBJECTS.

A BLIZZARD WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS
AND POOR VISIBILITIES ARE LIKELY. THIS WILL LEAD TO WHITEOUT
CONDITIONS...MAKING TRAVEL EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. DO NOT TRAVEL. IF
YOU MUST TRAVEL...HAVE A WINTER SURVIVAL KIT WITH YOU. IF YOU GET
STRANDED...STAY WITH YOUR VEHICLE.
