.DISCUSSION...
Although the widespread rainfall will taper off through the
evening and overnight hours over Oahu as a cold front slowly
advances eastward down the island chain, a few spotty showers
can`t be ruled out through the day Monday as an upper disturbance
passes nearby to the north. The southwest winds will gradually
veer out of the west this evening, the northwest Monday through
Monday night, then around to the north to northeast Tuesday
through midweek as high pressure builds north of the area. Wind
speeds should remain in the light to moderate range through this
transition. Dewpoints will respond and dip into the upper 50s
through the afternoon hours Monday as the drier air fills in. As
the winds shift around to the north to northeast, clouds and
showers will return to the typical windward and mauka locations
by midweek.
