Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
A strengthening surface trough N of the area will extend over
central offshore waters Thursday and Friday, keeping areas of high
pressure to the distant NW and NE. A disturbance aloft will bring
a threat of strong thunderstorms, mainly along and E of the
trough late Thursday into Saturday. The trough will weaken late
Saturday and Sunday as high pressure settles far N of the area.

trough, NE winds 10 to 20 kt. E of trough, E to SE winds 10 to 20
kt. Seas 6 to 10 ft. Isolated thunderstorms.

thunderstorms.
