The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Walker County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 1237 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooded roads along
  FM247, FM2989, FM230, FM3478, and HWY 75 & 11th St. due to heavy
  rainfall. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
  Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Huntsville and Huntsville State Park.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
River Oaks Drive at Prairie Branch, State Highway 75 at Town Branch,
Sunset Lake Road at McDonald Creek and State Highway 75 at Town
Branch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
