The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Galveston Bay...

* Until 315 AM CDT.

* At 248 AM CDT, strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  wind gusts of 34 knots or greater and possible waterspouts were
  located over Upper San Jacinto Bay, or 12 nm northwest of
  Galveston Bay, moving northeast at 30 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Upper San Jacinto Bay, Mitchell Bay, Scott Bay, Black Duck Bay,
  Tabbs Bay, Crystal Bay, Burnet Bay, Trinity Bay, and northern
  Galveston Bay.
