...A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...
...A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON
UNTIL 2 AM PDT WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, sustained northwest winds 25 to 35
  mph, with gusts near 55 mph expected. For the High Wind Warning,
  sustained northwest winds 35 to 45 mph, with gusts near 65 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...Mojave Desert Slopes.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 2 PM PDT this afternoon. For
  the High Wind Warning, from 2 PM PDT this afternoon until 2 AM PDT
  Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult, particularly for high profile
  vehicles. Blowing dust will reduce visibilities at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highways affected include, but are not
  limited to Highway 14, Highway 178 below Walker Pass, and Highway
  58 below Tehachapi Pass, including the town of Mojave.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
