Seasonable temperatures for late March standards encompassed the
Kansas region today. Weather was fairly quiet for most, although a
few showers and thunderstorms flirted with far southern and
southeast Kansas toward evening. Early evening temperatures ranged
from the upper 50s over northeast Kansas, to near 70 degrees over
far southeast Kansas.

Hit-or-miss showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will impact far
southern and southeast Kansas this evening. Strong or severe storms
are not expected. Forecast low temperatures across the state range
from 30s over northwest Kansas, to near 50 degrees over southeast
portions.

Strong and gusty north winds will sweep southeast across the region
Friday, behind a cold front traversing Mid-America. Wind gusts will
exceed 30 mph at times, which will blow around loose outdoor items
such as trash bins and lawn furniture. Forecast high temperatures
range from the 50s over central and northern Kansas, to near 70
degrees over far southeast Kansas.
