...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT
FOR EAST CENTRAL BUTLER...WEST CENTRAL ARMSTRONG AND SOUTHWESTERN
CLARION COUNTIES...

At 649 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles east of
Shanor-Northvue, or 10 miles northeast of Butler, moving southeast at
50 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Trees
         snapped and uprooted. Power outages can be expected.

Locations impacted include...
Chicora, East Brady, Worthington, Bruin, West Hills, Petrolia, Karns
City, and Fairview.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Golf-ball sized hail was observed in New Wilmington and Slippery
Rock with this storm. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and
stay away from windows.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
