...GALE WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING...
...HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO
11 AM PDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, seas 15 to 20 ft at 14 seconds and
  southwest winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. For the
  Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and hazardous seas 14 to 19
  ft at 13 seconds and south winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30
  kt expected.

* WHERE...Coastal Waters from Cape Shoalwater to Florence out 60
  NM.

* WHEN...Gale Warning, until 8 PM PDT this evening. Hazardous
  Seas Warning, from 8 PM this evening to 11 AM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

* WHAT...Very steep and hazardous seas 14 to 18 ft at 13 seconds
  and south winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Isolated and
  brief gusts to 35 kt under the strongest showers.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
  damage to vessels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...First ebb current of 5.24 kt at 702 AM
  Thursday. Second ebb current of 3.5 kt at 719 PM Thursday. Third
  ebb current of 5.2 kt at 734 AM Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Recreational boaters should remain in port. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port
until hazardous seas subside.
