...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM EDT FRIDAY...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southern West Virginia, including the
  following counties, Boone, Logan and Mingo.

* WHEN...Until 815 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1114 PM EDT, emergency management reported numerous high
    water issues caused by prior excessive rainfall in the warned
    area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 3.5 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
    the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Madison, Man, Amherstdale-Robinette, Van, Wharton, Mallory,
    Gilbert Creek, Hinch, Danville, Gilbert, Sylvester, Blair,
    Sharples, Jeffrey, Amherstdale-Robine, Foster, Bruno,
    Prenter, Switzer and Chauncey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll
free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
