Over the weekend, stronger onshore will bring cooler weather and a
deeper marine layer.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

At 9 PM, skies were clear over land areas, and low stratus were
starting to form over the coastal waters. Aided by a weak coastal
eddy, these low clouds will increase in coverage tonight and move
over the beaches and some of the coastal zones by daybreak. Skies
will clear through mid-morning Tuesday with sunny skies in the
afternoon.

The coastal eddy returns Tuesday night and again Wednesday night
with more night and morning low clouds in the coastal zones burning
off to sunny afternoons. Coastal highs will be in the 60s and 70s,
valley and high desert highs in the 80s, mountain highs in the 60s
and 70s, and lower desert highs in the 90s.

Over the weekend a Pacific trough deepening down the coast will
bring cooler weather, stronger onshore flow, a deeper marine layer,
and gusty mountain and desert winds. Some ensemble members show a
chance of rain with this trough on Sunday. This scenario will be
evaluated in the coming days.
