918 FLUS44 KSHV 061930 HWOSHV Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Shreveport LA 230 PM CDT Mon May 6 2024 ARZ050-051-059>061-070-071-OKZ077-TXZ096-097-108>112-071200- Sevier-Howard-Little River-Hempstead-Nevada-Miller-Lafayette- McCurtain-Red River-Bowie-Franklin-Titus-Camp-Morris-Cass- 230 PM CDT Mon May 6 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma and northeast Texas. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible this afternoon and evening across portions of extreme Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas, but should gradually diminish later this evening. Additional shower and thunderstorm development is expected late tonight over Central and Eastern Oklahoma, which will slide southeast into Southeast Oklahoma and portions of Southwest Arkansas and extreme Northeast Texas. These storms are expected to weaken as they enter these areas just before daybreak Tuesday. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase Wednesday afternoon and evening over Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas, ahead of a weak cold front and associated upper level disturbance. Some of these storms may become severe, before diminishing late. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... No hazardous weather is expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase Wednesday afternoon and evening over East Texas and North Louisiana, ahead of a weak cold front and associated upper level disturbance. Some of these storms may become severe, before diminishing late. Additional showers and thunderstorms should redevelop Thursday afternoon and evening over the region near the slow moving front, with the severe weather threat again possible over these areas.
