The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Creek County in northeastern Oklahoma...
  Okfuskee County in east central Oklahoma...

* Until 600 AM CDT.

* At 521 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Chandler to 4 miles east of Johnson to 3 miles
  west of Maud, moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

 Interstate 40 in Oklahoma between mile markers 212 and 231.
 Interstate 44 between mile markers 178 and 204.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing wind
damage across northern Pottawatomie County. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside
a sturdy structure and stay away from windows!
