JULY 2017 WAS VERY DRY ALONG WITH WARMER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES
ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON. NEARLY ALL STATIONS IN THE AREA
REPORTED NO RAIN WITH VIRTUALLY NO LIGHTNING FOR THE MONTH AS WELL
EXCEPT FOR THUNDERSTORMS THAT TRACKED EAST OF THE AREA ACROSS THE
COLUMBIA BASIN INTO THE OKANOGAN HIGHLANDS EARLY ON THE 15TH...AND
ONE SHORT LIVED STORM THAT DEVELOPED SOUTH OF LEAVENWORTH ON THE
18TH. WHILE THERE WERE NO RECORD BREAKING HEAT SPELLS WITH WENATCHEE
NEVER REACHING THE CENTURY MARK...90 OR WARMER WAS REACHED 22 DAYS
WITH THE JULY NORMAL 14 DAYS. REGARDING PRECIPITATION NO RAIN WAS
RECORDED WHICH MADE IT THE DRIEST JULY ON RECORD AT THE WENATCHEE
AIRPORT. HOWEVER THE WENATCHEE WATERPLANT WHICH HAS A LONGER PERIOD
OF RECORD HAS RECORDED NO RAIN FOR THE MONTH OF JULY 6 TIMES.

AS MENTIONED ABOVE...ONE RECORD WAS SET DURING THE MONTH AT THE
WENATCHEE AIRPORT WITH 0.00 INCHES OF RAIN FOR THE MONTH MAKING IT
THE DRIEST JULY ON RECORD.
