Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A surface high will remain nearly stationary far northeast of the
islands through the forecast period. Post-Tropical Cyclone
Fernanda is expected to weaken to a trough as it passes near or
just north of the islands tonight through Monday. The trough will
move west of Kauai by early Tuesday.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.TODAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Wind waves 3 to 5 feet. East
swell 4 to 5 feet. Scattered showers, and slight chance of
thunderstorms southwest and west of Kauai.
.TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind
waves 3 to 6 feet. East swell 3 to 5 feet. Scattered showers.
.TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...East winds 15 to 25 knots. Wind waves
4 to 8 feet. East swell 3 to 4 feet. Scattered showers.
