Coastal Waters Forecast
National Weather Service Medford, OR
252 PM PDT Fri Oct 20 2017

Coastal waters from Florence Oregon to Point St. George California
and westward 60 nm.

PZZ300-210400-
252 PM PDT Fri Oct 20 2017

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE SOUTHERN OREGON COASTAL WATERS...Heavy long
period northwest swell will persist through this evening,
creating very high and steep seas along with dangerous surf and
bar conditions. The heavy swell will subside to moderate tonight,
but south gales will develop at that time as a warm front
approaches the area. This front will bring heavy rainfall late
tonight into Saturday morning. Though winds will decrease slightly
tomorrow afternoon, expect another round of steep west swell,
which will likely continue through Sunday. A thermal trough will
set up along the coast early next week, and this will bring strong
north winds and steep seas south of Cape Blanco beginning Monday
and continuing through Tuesday.
