HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY/PLEASANT HILL MO

...Heavy rainfall expected Thursday through Friday night...

Deep layer moisture associated from Tropical Storm Newton present
during expected multiple rounds of storms beginning Wednesday will
present the chance of widespread rainfall totals between 1 to 3
inches. Higher rainfall amounts are possible throughout this time
period within areas affected by stronger storms. The main period of
concern will be Thursday evening to late Friday night.

Given the recent heavy rain events last week, soils will likely be
limited in absorption potential, thus flash flooding could quickly
result despite the recent dry trend.

Residents near and south of the Missouri River, particularly, should
remain alert to the possibility of flooding through the late week.
