...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PENDLETON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF CENTRAL OREGON...INCLUDING
  THE FOLLOWING JOHN DAY BASIN AND OCHOCO-JOHN DAY HIGHLANDS.

* FROM 3 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING

* RAIN AMOUNTS OF 0.25 TO 0.75 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE CANYON
  CREEK WILDFIRE AREA TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AND IT IS POSSIBLE
  THAT A FEW AREAS COULD SEE AMOUNTS NEAR 1 INCH.

* THE RAIN MAY RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING OR DEBRIS FLOWS ON THE
  RECENTLY BURNT AREAS...ESPECIALLY ALONG CANYON CREEK ABOVE
  CANYON CITY AND JOHN DAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
