TO 72 HOURS ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST OREGON AND SOUTHEAST
WASHINGTON...

.A LARGE MOIST PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA
TODAY THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON. WITH 72 HOUR RAINFALL AMOUNTS
IN EXCESS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ALONG THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST
OREGON...AND 3 TO 7 INCHES ACROSS THE EAST SLOPES OF THE
CASCADES...FLOODING OF RIVERS AS WELL AS SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE.

MONDAY AFTERNOON...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF OREGON AND WASHINGTON...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...IN OREGON...CENTRAL OREGON...EAST COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE
  OF OREGON...EAST SLOPES OF THE OREGON CASCADES AND NORTH CENTRAL
  OREGON. IN WASHINGTON...EAST SLOPES OF THE WASHINGTON CASCADES
  AND SIMCOE HIGHLANDS...EASTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE OF
  WASHINGTON...KITTITAS VALLEY AND THE YAKIMA VALLEY.

* FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

* MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG THE EAST SLOPES OF THE CASCADES
  WILL LEAD TO RISING RIVERS AS WELL AS THE SMALL CREEKS AND
  STREAMS. SNOW LEVELS WILL START OFF AROUND 2500-3000 FEET...BUT
  WILL QUICKLY RISE TO OVER 6000 FEET BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL START TO RISE TODAY WITH THE
  LARGER RIVERS SEEING SUBSTANTIAL RISES TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. MINOR
  FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE SUNDAY EVENING INTO MONDAY EVENING FOR
  THE DESCHUTES RIVER NEAR MOODY...AND THE NACHES RIVER NEAR
  NACHES. SEVERAL OTHER RIVERS ARE EXPECTED TO CREST AT ACTION
  STAGE...BUT ARE NOT FORECAST TO REACH FLOOD STAGE. HOWEVER...THE
  SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS COULD SEE MINOR FLOODING...ESPECIALLY
  SUNDAY AS MODERATE RAIN AND SNOW MELT ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.

* PORTIONS OF OREGON AND SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN OREGON...FOOTHILLS OF THE NORTHERN BLUE
  MOUNTAINS OF OREGON...FOOTHILLS OF THE SOUTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS
  OF OREGON...GRANDE RONDE VALLEY...JOHN DAY BASIN...NORTHERN
  BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON...OCHOCO-JOHN DAY HIGHLANDS...
  SOUTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON AND WALLOWA COUNTY. IN
  SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON...FOOTHILLS OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS OF
  WASHINGTON AND THE NORTHWEST BLUE MOUNTAINS OF WASHINGTON.

* FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

* 48 HOUR PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES. THE
  SNOW LEVEL WILL BE AROUND 3000 FEET TODAY AND WILL RISE TO NEAR
  8000 FEET ON SUNDAY.

* SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL START TO RISE TODAY WITH THE
  LARGER RIVERS SEEING SUBSTANTIAL RISES TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. NO
  FLOODING IS FORECAST ALONG THE LARGER RIVERS...BUT SEVERAL
  RIVERS ARE FORECAST TO REACH ACTION STAGE. THE SMALL CREEKS AND
  STREAMS COULD SEE MINOR FLOODING...ESPECIALLY SUNDAY AS MODERATE
  RAIN AND SNOW MELT ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR.
