Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will continue over the area through tonight, before a
weak cold front moves into northern Alabama on Saturday. Southerly
winds will increase to between 5 and 10 mph become westerly ahead of
the front on Saturday. A few gusts to around 15 mph will be possible
in the afternoon. No precipitation is expected with this front.
Colder and drier air will push into the area Saturday night into
Sunday, as relative humidity values drop to between 30 and 40 percent. Fair
dispersion index values and transport winds between 5 and 10 mph
are expected through Sunday.

Fog potential over the next few days: None expected.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None expected due to light winds
forecast.
