Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
312 AM CDT Mon May 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Unsettled weather will persist through the week, as several
disturbances impact the region. A stalled boundary will enhance
shower and thunderstorm development today, with an increase in
activity by this afternoon. Within any storm that develop, heavy
rainfall will be possible, though exact amounts are uncertain.
The frontal boundary will remain over the region on Tuesday as
another disturbance moves through the area and scattered showers
and thunderstorms will be possible once again. Although precip
will remain in the forecast through the work week, activity on
Wednesday and Thursday will generally be more isolated in coverage.

RH values will remain well above critical thresholds as moisture
continues to filter into the region. Winds will be somewhat light
though with a southwesterly component on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Outside of thunderstorm areas, mixing heights will rise above
2000 ft during the late morning hours and max out above 5000 feet
by the afternoon. Transport winds will be light today and then
increase slightly on Tuesday. Poor dispersion conditions are expected
today, with generally good conditions returning on Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: No fog is expected at this
time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None.
