FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EAST KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
541 AM EDT WED JUL 27 2016

.DISCUSSION...A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE
STATE TODAY...WHICH WILL INTERACT WITH THE HOT AND HUMID AIRMASS
TO PRODUCE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGHOUT THE DAY
TODAY. SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD PRODUCE HEAVY TO TORRENTIAL
RAINFALL. TONIGHT AND THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW...AN UPPER LEVEL
WAVE WILL INTERACT WITH THE SURFACE BOUNDARY AND SOME OTHER
DRIVING FEATURES...PRODUCING A MORE WIDESPREAD RISK FOR STORMS AND
TORRENTIAL RAINFALL ACROSS EASTERN KY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT.
INSTANCES OF FLOODING WILL BE LIKELY...THOUGH EXACT LOCATION OF
IMPACTS IS STILL UNKNOWN. WINDS SHOULD OVERALL REMAIN LIGHT
THROUGH THIS TIME PERIOD...BUT ANY STRONGER STORMS COULD RESULT IN
SOME BRIEF GUSTY CONDITIONS.
