FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
240 PM PDT SUN JUL 5 2015

.DISCUSSION...

GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS IN THE IDAHO PANHANDLE AND COLUMBIA BASIN
WILL WANE THIS EVENING. WARM TEMPERATURES AND LIGHT WINDS WILL BE
IN PLACE MONDAY. ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL IMPACT THE REGION
TUESDAY. THE MAIN IMPACTS WITH THIS FEATURE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL
FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE FOCUS ACROSS THE NORTHERN
MOUNTAINS. WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS PREVAIL WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY
THEN A TRANSITION TO A MORE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN LOOKS PROMISING
FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. THIS WILL FEATURE OUR NEXT ROUND OF WINDS
FOR THE CASCADE GAPS AND COLUMBIA BASIN AS WELL AS MORE SEASONAL
TEMPERATURES...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...THE POTENTIAL FOR
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND.
