NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEDFORD OR

ECC002-010600-
WEST YREKA-
DISCUSSION FOR...WESTERN KLAMATH
446 AM PDT THU JUL 31 2014

AN UPPER LEVEL IMPULSE MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL COMBINE
WITH INSTABILITY AND MOISTURE TO PRODUCE ANOTHER ROUND OF
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR MOST OF
WESTERN SISKIYOU COUNTY. STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF GUSTY WINDS AND
SMALL HAIL AND WILL MOVE FROM SOUTH TO NORTH. RAIN WILL ACCOMPANY
MOST STORMS BUT ABUNDANT LIGHTNING IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO BE A
MAJOR CONCERN DUE MOSTLY TO DRY FUELS. ON FRIDAY THE DEEP MOISTURE
THAT`S BEEN SUPPORTING RECENT THUNDERSTORMS PUSHES EAST AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MAINLY ISOLATED AND ONLY AFFECT
THE HIGHER TERRAIN. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN
THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK AND COVERAGE SHOULD MOSTLY
BE ISOLATED.
