.DISCUSSION...Showers and thunderstorms are expected to form
across much of Utah this afternoon and this evening. These storms
will be moving faster than in previous days, with most of them
moving from southwest to northeast. With a moist airmass in
place, these thunderstorms will be wet, with locally heavy
rainfall possible.

Aside from erratic winds due to storms, winds at the fire should be
gusty out of the south today, generally becoming more westerly
through the late afternoon and evening. The threat of showers will
continue into Friday, and then slowly decrease in coverage
through the weekend.

.TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (45-55 percent cloud cover) then
                    becoming mostly cloudy (75-85 percent cloud
                    cover). A slight chance of showers and
                    thunderstorms in the morning, then scattered
                    showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Chance of pcpn......50 percent.
CWR.................40 percent.
LAL.................2 until 1200, then 4.
Max temperature.....71-74.
Min humidity........41-44%.
Wind (20 ft)........Downslope/downvalley 3 to 6 mph early in the
                    morning, becoming south-southwest 8 to 13 mph
                    with gusts 10-20 mph late morning through
                    afternoon.
