This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Intense heat will continue to grip the area through Saturday with
afternoon and early evening heat indices ranging from around 105
degrees to as high as 109 each day. Please refer to the Excessive
Heat Warning that remains in effect until 8 PM CDT Saturday for
further details.

Some relief from the heat is expected by Saturday night and Sunday
as a weak cold front moves south across the area. There will also
be periodic chances for thunderstorms from Saturday evening through
Tuesday. A few strong to marginally severe storms are possible
Saturday evening across central Kansas with the main threat being
down-burst winds of 50 to 60 mph. A few strong storms and some with
locally heavy rainfall will remain possible Sunday, mainly across
southern Kansas. The risk for strong or severe storms appears
rather low for Monday and Tuesday.
