THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA TODAY
AND THIS EVENING. BY MID AFTERNOON...THIS FEATURE WILL BE ANCHORED
ALONG A LINE FROM BASSETT TO NORTH PLATTE...TO HAYES CENTER.
INSTABILITY WILL INCREASE EAST OF THIS FEATURE THIS AFTERNOON AS
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE LIFTS INTO WESTERN NEBRASKA. SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE VICINITY OF THE
SURFACE TROUGH. AS THEY MOVE EAST LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY
THIS EVENING...SOME STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH
LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS BEING THE MAIN SEVERE THREATS. AT THIS
TIME...THE GREATEST THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS IS EAST OF A LINE
FROM MAYWOOD...TO BROKEN BOW...TO BARTLETT.

WEST OF THE SURFACE TROUGH OVER THE EASTERN NEBRASKA
PANHANDLE...EXTREME TO NEAR CRITICAL FIRE DANGER IS POSSIBLE THIS
AFTERNOON AS MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES FALL TO AROUND 20
PERCENT. IN ADDITION TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...WESTERLY WINDS OF
10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH ARE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE DANGER IS POSSIBLE OVER
ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. WESTERLY WINDS OF 15 TO
25 MPH WILL COMBINE WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES OF 15 TO 20
PERCENT.

ON FRIDAY...EXTREME FIRE DANGER IS POSSIBLE OVER THE EASTERN
NEBRASKA PANHANDLE...WESTERN SANDHILLS AND SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA...AS
AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITIES DROP TO AROUND 20 PERCENT.

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DEEPEN ACROSS THE DESERT SOUTHWEST
FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY. AS THIS FEATURE TRACKS EAST THIS
WEEKEND...THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE SATURDAY...THROUGH SUNDAY
EVENING. NO SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED SATURDAY AND SATURDAY
EVENING...HOWEVER...BY SUNDAY AS THE MAIN UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM
APPROACHES...THE THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS WILL INCREASE SUNDAY
AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY EVENING. AT THIS TIME...THE MAIN THREAT FOR
SEVERE STORMS IS EAST AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM HAYES CENTER...TO
SUTHERLAND...TO THEDFORD...TO EWING.

BEYOND SUNDAY NIGHT...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED.
