AT 955 AM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STRONG THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS LOCATED JUST
SOUTH OF BALD HEAD ISLAND...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 KNOTS.

LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS INCLUDE BALD HEAD ISLAND AND
FORT FISHER...AND THE NEARSHORE WATERS WITHIN 10 MILES OF SHORE NEAR
CAROLINA BEACH...WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH...FIGURE EIGHT ISLAND...AND
TOPSAIL ISLAND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...CLOUD TO SEA LIGHTNING STRIKES AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. BOATERS
