...LARGE SEAS EXPECTED TO BUILD OVER THE COASTAL WATERS THIS
EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY...

A LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL WITH A LONG PERIOD WILL BUILD RAPIDLY
ACROSS THE OUTER WATERS AND ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST THIS EVENING
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. DANGEROUS BREAKING WAVES WILL BE LIKELY
AT THE MORRO BAY HARBOR ENTRANCE AND POSSIBLY THE VENTURA HARBOR
THIS WEEKEND. THESE CONDITIONS HAVE A HISTORY OF CAPSIZING VESSELS
OF VARIOUS SIZES RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH EVEN TO THE
MOST EXPERIENCED MARINERS.

MARINERS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN SAFE HARBOR OR AVOID HARBOR
ENTRANCES UNTIL SEA CONDITIONS IMPROVE. PRIOR TO ENTERING HARBOR
ENTRANCES...IT IS ADVISED TO CONTACT LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR THE
LATEST WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS FOR SAFE PASSING. FOR THE
LATEST INFORMATION...CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR
THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
