...Gusty Winds Will Bring Moderate to Heavy Chop on the Larger
Lakes This Afternoon and Evening...

.A fast moving area of low pressure will quickly increase the
winds across the area today and into the evening. As a result
south to southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph
will be possible on Cave Run Lake, Lake Cumberland, and Lake
Laurel. Boaters overwintering on the lakes or out on the water
are urged to use caution and be prepared for large chop later
today through the evening.

...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to midnight
EST tonight.

* TIMING...11 am to midnight EST

* WINDS...South to Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph
  at times.

* IMPACTS...Moderate to heavy chop can be expected at this time on
  area lakes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
