Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Tropical N Atlantic
from 07N to 22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of
31N W of 65W including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for Caribbean Sea and Tropical N ATLC from 07N to 19N
between 55W and 64W

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong trades will prevail over the
southern portion of the central Caribbean through late Wednesday
morning. Fresh to locally strong winds will prevail across the
Gulf of Honduras mainly during the evening and night hours
through early Thursday. A trough over the western Caribbean near
83W will slowly move westward towards the Yucatan Peninsula
through Thursday accompanied by scattered to numerous showers
and thunderstorms with gusty winds and rough seas.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE SW N ATLC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria is N of area centered near 32.9N
73.1W 970 mb at 5 AM moving N or 360 degrees at 6 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt. Maria is forecast
to continue to pull further away from the forecast area through
tonight. Winds and seas associated with Maria will gradually
decrease through through Wednesday night. A trough will extend
SW from the N-central waters to the Central Bahamas in the wake
of Maria through Wednesday night, and become diffuse on
Thursday. High pressure will build westward across the eastern
portion of the area. A weak cold front is expected to approach
the SE United States on Friday, then weaken over the far NW
waters on Saturday as strengthening continental high pressure
builds southward over it. The resulting gradient is expected to
increase the NE to E winds over the NW waters on Saturday along
with building seas.
