...The State of Michigan will conduct a live test tornado warning
Wednesday March 20th...

...A TEST SEVERE WEATHER DRILL WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY MARCH 20TH...

The National Weather Service will use NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards
to conduct a test tornado drill on Wednesday March 20th. Around 100
PM EDT... the National Weather Service will use their Routine Weekly
Test on NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards to simulate an actual Tornado
Warning.

These tests will cover all counties in Michigan...and will originate
from the NWS Offices at Grand Rapids...Gaylord...Marquette...
Detroit/Pontiac... and Northern Indiana. Persons are urged to
practice their tornado safety measures during the drill.

To all media in the state...please be aware of these messages...and
take appropriate actions as neccessary. The message will be sent out
on NOAA Weather Radio EAS Encoding Units using the Routine Weekly
Test Code (RWT) and should not adversely affect the Emergency Alert
System (EAS). To our NOAA Weather Radio listeners...please be aware
that the NOAA Weather Radio Alarm Tone will be activated on
Wednesday March 20th for the Routine Weekly Test (RWT SAME
CODE)...but the NWS Offices will have a special worded broadcast to
signify the Test Tornado Drill.

The Test Tornado Drill is being conducted in conjunction with Severe
Weather Awareness Week in Michigan...March 17th to March 23rd.
