MORNING LOW LEVEL WIND FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TOPEKA KS
732 AM CDT WED AUG 27 2014

...SHAWNEE COUNTY...

.DISCUSSION...

AVIATION...(FOR THE 12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z THURSDAY)
ISSUED AT 645 AM CDT WED AUG 27 2014

THE MAIN AREA OF CONCERN IS WITH REGARDS TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM
CHANCES THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD. ONGOING THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING
ARE NEAR KMHK WITH ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEAR KTOP/KFOE POSSIBLE
LATER THIS MORNING. BORDERLINE MVFR/IFR CIGS WILL BE POSSIBLE IF
ANY STORMS DEVELOP OVER THE TAF SITES. EXPECT THIS ACTIVITY TO
DIMINISH AND/OR LIFT FURTHER NORTH OF THE TAF SITES THIS
AFTERNOON, HOWEVER ISOLATED DEVELOPMENT IS STILL POSSIBLE LATER
THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING IF ANY OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES ARE
LINGERING ACROSS THE REGION. THERE IS TOO MUCH UNCERTAINTY AT THIS
TIME WITH REGARDS TO POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT LATER IN THE PERIOD, SO
DON`T HAVE A MENTION OF IT IN THE TAFS BUT WILL CLOSELY MONITOR
THROUGH THE DAY. OTHERWISE, WINDS WILL BE LIGHT THROUGH THE
PERIOD, GENERALLY OUT OF THE EAST/SOUTHEAST.
