...The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued
a Hydrologic Statement in cooperation with the California Department
of Water Resources for the following rivers in California...

  Klamath River near Klamath affecting Del Norte and Humboldt
  Counties

  Mad River Near Arcata  affecting Humboldt County

  Eel River At Fernbridge affecting Humboldt County


Occasional showers today. The Klamath River near Klamath and the
Eel River at Fernbridge are forecast to rise above monitor stage late
this evening and the forecast to recede below monitor stage early
morning. The Mad River at Arcata has reached monitor stage and is
forecast to fall below monitor stage this afternoon.


SAFETY MESSAGE...

Do not drive your car across flooded roadways. It only takes about
two feet of water to float most vehicles. For area road conditions...
call CALTRANS at 1-800-427-7623.

local TV or radio stations.

The next statement will be issued by 400 PM February 21st or as
warranted by changing conditions.

* No flooding is forecast.
* Monitor Stage is 30.0 feet, Flood Stage is 38.0 feet.
* This river is forecast to rise to and then crest at monitor stage
  of 30.0 FT this evening. Then forecast to fluctuate near 30.0 FT
  thru late this evening.

* Forecast information for the Eel River at Fernbridge
* At 08:15 AM Tuesday the stage was...15.9 feet
* This river is currently above monitor stage.
* No flooding is forecast.
* Monitor Stage is 14.0 feet, Flood Stage is 20.0 feet.
* This river is forecast to rise to near  17.5 FT this evening. Then
  forecast to fall below monitor stage of 14.0 FT near noon Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of western portions of Cannibal
  Island Road, Camp Weott Road and adjacent areas is likely. This
  level may also cause flooding of the Salt River, Old River and
  other low lying slough areas. Flooding in these areas is
  exaggerated when crest timing in coincident with high tides and
  strong onshore winds, and when the river remains high for longer
  periods of time.
