National Weather Service Huntsville AL
153 PM CST Sat Feb 17 2018

...The Tennessee River at Whitesburg will remain near Action Stage...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to remain steady
on the Tennessee River at Whitesburg. Although it is not expected to reach
Flood Stage...some nuisance flooding of lowlands may still occur. If
additional rainfall occurs...the river could still reach Flood Stage.

At 1 PM Saturday the stage was 14.2 feet. Action Stage is 15.0 feet.
Flood Stage is 17.0 feet. The river is forecast to remain steady at 14.2 feet
this evening and continue to slow fall through the next few days.
At 14.0 feet...The river starts to cover ramps
at the Madison County Boat Harbor at Ditto Landing...as well as
pastureland near the river. Backwater from Aldridge Creek covers part
of the Ditto Landing Walking Trail. Water backs into sloughs near the
river.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.
