.Very heavy rain fell last week as Hurricane Irma passed by the area. Extensive
flooding recently occurred upstream on the Withlacoochee River due to the heavy
rain falling in the headwaters. This water has slowly routed downstream and
will now bring rises to the river in northern Citrus county. A flood warning
was recently issued for areas near the Holder gauge and a new warning is
possible for Dunnellon within the next 24 hours.

For the Withlacoochee At Dunnellon, the latest stage is 28.6 feet at 10 AM
Saturday.
