...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 633 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from near Britton to near Morenci. Movement was east
at 45 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Britton around 640 PM EDT.
  Milan, Dundee and Petersburg around 645 PM EDT.
  Ida and Maybee around 655 PM EDT.
  Ottawa Lake around 700 PM EDT.
  Monroe and Carleton around 705 PM EDT.
  Lambertville around 710 PM EDT.
  Flat Rock around 715 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Newport, Ogden
Center, Erie, Woodland Beach, Ridgeway, Stony Point, Palmyra, Bolles
Harbor, Sand Creek and Samaria.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern Michigan.
