...Patchy Dense Fog this Morning across southeast Tennessee and
southwest North Carolina...

The recent rains, clear sky, and calm winds have allowed patchy
dense fog to develop across southeast Tennessee and southwest
North Carolina early this morning.

The dense fog will reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less in
some locations. Areas near lakes or rivers, or sheltered valleys,
will be especially vulnerable to the low visibility. When driving
through dense fog, slow down, use your headlights, and leave
plenty of distance ahead of you.

The fog will dissipate by mid-morning giving way to mostly sunny
sky and very warm afternoon temperatures.
