...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL GARFIELD AND
SOUTHWESTERN ASOTIN COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM PDT...

At 420 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles north of Troy, or 15 miles south of Peola, moving northeast at
20 mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Anatone, Cloverland, Peola, Alder Thicket Campground, Wickiup
Campground, Misery Spring Campground and Spruce Spring Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.

People attending Asotin Days should seek safe shelter immediately!
