...Wintry Weather Possible across West Central Texas this Week...

A strong cold front will move across West Central Texas on Monday
night, bringing much colder temperatures to the area. Light rain
will develop behind the front, eventually changing over to light
sleet and snow early Tuesday morning. Even with only light
amounts expected, with temperatures falling into the 20s, icy
spots are likely to develop on area roadways, and travel may
become hazardous. As we get closer to the event, the exact
details, amounts, and locations will become more certain.

A second storm system may move across the area late Wednesday
Night into Thursday morning, producing an additional threat of
winter precipitation mainly along the Interstate 10 corridor.

In addition to the winter precipitation, temperatures will remain
well below normal this week. Overnight lows starting on Tuesday
morning will drop well below freezing, dropping into the teens in
some locations. There may again be a prolonged period of below
freezing temperatures, so make sure your pipes and pets are well
protected.
