...MORE WINTRY WEATHER POSSIBLE FOR WEST CENTRAL...

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...

1. ANOTHER STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS
MONDAY NIGHT. HIGHS ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL REMAIN IN THE 30S
IN MANY LOCATIONS...WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE 20S.

2. PATCHY AREAS OF SLEET...DRIZZLE...FREEZING DRIZZLE...AND LIGHT
FREEZING RAIN MAY DEVELOP TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.
ALTHOUGH ANY ACCUMULATIONS WOULD BE SMALL...IT ONLY TAKES A GLAZE OF
ICE ON ROADWAYS TO CREATE DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. THIS IS
ESPECIALLY TRUE ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

3. WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS FOR NEW YEARS
EVE AND NEW YEARS DAY...WE ENCOURAGE THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS TO
WATCH THE FORECAST CLOSELY OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THE POTENTIAL
FOR WINTER WEATHER AND ITS IMPACTS WILL BECOME BETTER DEFINED AS WE
GET CLOSER TO THE EVENT.
