WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
339 AM CDT THU AUG 27 2015

THE CENTER OF SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
NORTHEAST OVER THE OHIO VALLEY, ALLOWING FOR A GRADUAL RETURN OF
WARMER TEMPERATURES, AS WINDS TURN SOUTHERLY ON FRIDAY.

A SMALL CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DOT PARTS OF THE
QUAD STATE REGION SATURDAY AND INTO EARLY SUNDAY. THIS
PRECIPITATION WILL BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PASSAGE OF A WEAK
WEATHER SYSTEM, STRETCHING FROM WISCONSIN AND INTO THE GREAT
LAKES.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD BACK IN EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE STRENGTH OF
THIS RIDGE WILL BE TEMPERED BY THE APPROACH OF WEAK UPPER LOW
MOVING INTO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. IN ADDITION, THERE IS
SOME QUESTION OF WHAT IMPACT, IF ANY, A TROPICAL WEATHER SYSTEM
CALLED ERIKA, WILL HAVE TO THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD NEXT WEEK.

THE COMBINATION OF ALL THESE FACTORS MAY CREATE SOME UNCERTAINTY
AS TO WHETHER ALL LOCATIONS IN THE QUAD STATE REGION WILL REMAIN
DRY BEYOND THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.

REGARDLESS, TEMPERATURES WILL GRADUALLY RISE BACK TO NEAR NORMAL
LEVELS LATE THIS WEEKEND AND INTO NEXT WEEK. SUMMER IS NOT OVER
YET.
