URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...SPRING STORM TO BRING RAIN AND SNOW TODAY...

.A spring storm system will move across the high plains today,
bringing rain and snow to much of the area. Snow will continue
across Northeast Wyoming and the Black Hills area through the
early afternoon hours. The higher snowfall amounts will be across
the Bear Lodge Mountains, where six inches or more of snow is
expected. Snowfall amounts of up to 6 inches are expected from
far northeast Wyoming to the Belle Fourche and Sturgis areas.

available by calling 511.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has cancelled the
Winter Weather Advisory.

Rain and snow will continue across the area through the early
afternoon hours. Any snow accumulations across the area will
generally be less than an inch.

AFTERNOON...

* TIMING...Snow will continue through the midday hours, tapering
  off during the afternoon.

* MAIN IMPACT...Snowfall totals of 4 to 10 inches are expected,
  with the Bear Lodge Mountains and Sundance area generally seeing
  the higher amounts.

* OTHER IMPACTS...With many trees beginning to leaf out, the
  heavy wet snow could bring down some tree limbs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter storm warning for heavy snow means snow accumulations
will create dangerous conditions.
