THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM WEDNESDAY
TO NOON PST THURSDAY.

* TIMING...SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...PEAK
  WEDNESDAY NIGHT THEN TAPER OFF THURSDAY.

* SNOW LEVEL...8000 FEET AS PRECIPITATION BEGINS...FALLING TO AROUND
  5000 FEET BY THURSDAY MORNING.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TRACE TO 4 INCHES ABOVE 5000 FEET...3
  TO 7 INCHES ABOVE 6000 FEET...6 TO 12 INCHES ABOVE 8000
  FEET...OVER A FOOT POSSIBLE AT THE CREST. HEAVIEST ACCUMULATIONS
  IN THE SIERRA.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH. STRONGER
  GUSTS NEAR THE SIERRA CREST.

* IMPACTS...SNOWFALL WILL CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS IN THE
  MOUNTAINS DUE TO SLICK ROADS AND LOW VISIBILITY. ROAD RESTRICTIONS
  OR CLOSURES MAY BE NEEDED...ESPECIALLY IN THE SIERRA.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN LATE WEDNESDAY EVENING...PEAK DURING THE
  DAY THURSDAY...THEN TAPER OFF THURSDAY EVENING.

* SNOW LEVEL...FALLING TO 4500 TO 5000 FEET IN CLARK COUNTY...DOWN
  TO 4000 FEET ACROSS LINCOLN COUNTY.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TRACE TO 4 INCHES ABOVE 5000 FEET...3
  TO 7 INCHES ABOVE 6000 FEET...6 TO 12 INCHES ABOVE 8000 FEET.
  LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE IN THE SPRING MOUNTAINS ABOVE 8000
  FEET.

* WINDS...SOUTH 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS 30 TO 40 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SNOWFALL WILL CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS IN THE
  MOUNTAINS DUE TO SLICK ROADS AND LOW VISIBILITY. ROAD RESTRICTIONS
  OR CLOSURES MAY BE NEEDED. THIS INCLUDES KYLE AND LEE CANYONS IN
  THE SPRING MOUNTAINS AS WELL AS US HIGHWAY 93 NORTH FROM CALIENTE.
  STATE ROUTE 160 NEAR MOUNTAIN SPRINGS MAY ALSO SEE SOME LIGHT SNOW
  ACCUMULATION.
