MISSAUKEE...MANISTEE...KALKASKA...GLADWIN...CRAWFORD...BENZIE...
IOSCO...WEXFORD...ALCONA...ARENAC AND GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTIES UNTIL
800 AM EDT...

AT 437 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LARGE AREA OF RAIN CONTINUING ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. TOTAL RAINFALL
SINCE LAST NIGHT WILL RANGE FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES...WHICH WAS PRECEDED
BY RAINFALL OF 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN THAT FELL LATE SATURDAY...NEAR
AND SOUTH OF THE M-55 CORRIDOR.

THE RAIN AND RUNOFF WILL ONLY EXACERBATE THE ALREADY HIGH WATER AND
LOCALIZED FLOODING AFFECTING THE AREA.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...ALGER...AU
GRES...AU SABLE...BEULAH...CADILLAC...EAST TAWAS...FRANKFORT...
GLADWIN...GLENNIE...GRAYLING...HARRISVILLE...HOUGHTON LAKE...
KALKASKA...LAKE CITY...MANISTEE...MIO...OSCODA...PRUDENVILLE...
ROSCOMMON...ST. HELEN...STANDISH...STERLING...TAWAS CITY...
THOMPSONVILLE...TRAVERSE CITY...WEST BRANCH...ARCADIA...BARKER
CREEK...BARTON CITY AND BEAR LAKE.

MINOR FLOODING IS ALREADY ONGOING ALONG PARTS OF THE MANISTEE AND
RIFLE RIVERS...WITH VERY HIGH WATER LEVELS REPORTED ALONG PORTIONS
OF THE AU SABLE RIVER...UPPER PLATTE RIVER IN BENZIE COUNTY...AND
THE CEDAR AND TOBACCO RIVERS IN GLADWIN COUNTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY.
