THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...
EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...AND ADJACENT NEARSHORE WATERS OF LAKE
MICHIGAN...LAKE HURON AND LAKE SUPERIOR.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

A ROUND OF SHOWERS AND A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE
THROUGH THE REGION THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. ANY OF THESE STORMS ARE
NOT LIKELY TO BE SEVERE.

HOWEVER...ANOTHER LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP AND SLIDE
THROUGH NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
THE EVENING HOURS...ALONG A COLD FRONT THAT WILL SWING THROUGH THE
REGION. THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE...WITH THE MAIN THREATS
BEING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS TODAY ON THE LAKE MICHIGAN
BEACHES OF NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN...ESPECIALLY FROM MANISTEE TO
LEELANAU COUNTY INCLUDING SLEEPING BEAR DUNES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY. AS IT STANDS NOW...THE BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY NIGHT.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED LATER THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS
EVENING. SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO RELAY ANY SEVERE WEATHER OR
RAINFALL REPORTS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AT ANY TIME.
