...ACCUMULATING SNOW WITH HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS TODAY...

A MIXTURE OF LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW WILL CONTINUE THIS
MORNING...WITH SNOW ACCUMULATIONS DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

A PERIOD OF HEAVIER PRECIPITATION HAS MOVED BACK INTO THE AREA
AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. ANY MIXED PRECIPITATION
WILL QUICKLY CHANGE OVER TO SNOW NORTH OF A LINE EXTENDING FROM
BREVORT TO JUST SOUTH OF SAULT STE MARIE. SNOWFALL RATES WILL
APPROACH UP TO HALF AN INCH PER HOUR...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER RATES
POSSIBLE FOR BRIEF PERIODS OF TIME. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2
TO 4 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY EVENING...WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS
NORTH OF ECKERMAN. THIS SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BE VERY WET...LEADING
TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SLUSH COVERED ROADS. THE SLUSH COVERED ROADS
WILL FREEZE IN THE EVENING HOURS AS TEMPERATURES DROP BELOW
FREEZING. IN ADDITION...VISIBILITY WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED
DURING PERIODS OF HEAVIER SNOW. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING TODAY.
