...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* Snow will continue through the day. The snow will be heavy at
  times.

* Total snow accumulations will range from 3 to 10 inches. The
  highest amounts will be in eastern Mackinac and southeast
  Chippewa Counties. The lowest amounts will be near Whitefish
  Point.

* Blustery north winds will result in some blowing and drifting
  snow today.

* Look for reduced visibilities at times. Plan on slick and
  hazardous road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring.  Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST
THURSDAY...

* Snow will continue into this evening. The snow will be heavy at
  times, with snowfall rates occassionally approaching 2 inches
  per hour.

* Total snow accumulations of 6 to 11 inches are expected. The
  highest amounts will be over the tip of northern lower
  Michigan, including Charlevoix, Emmet, Cheboygan, and Presque
  Isle Counties.

* Blustery north winds will result in some blowing and drifting
  snow this afternoon and evening.

* Look for reduced visibilities at times. Plan on slick and
  hazardous road conditions.

* Rain will transition to snow by early afternoon. A very brief
  period of sleet and freezing rain is possible during the
  transition.

* Snow will continue into this evening, The snow will be briefly
  heavy at times, especially this afternoon.

* Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected.

* Blustery northwest to north winds will result in some blowing
  and drifting snow this afternoon and evening.

* Look for reduced visibilities at times. Plan on slick and
  hazardous road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

  drifting snow this afternoon and evening.

* Look for reduced visibilities at times. The snow will result
  in hazardous travel conditions.
