This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

A slow moving cold front will help to generate strong to severe
thunderstorms late Sunday and Sunday night. While the primary threat
of severe weather will come in the form of damaging straight line
winds...a greater risk may come from slow moving torrential downpours
that could result in localized flash flooding. This risk will be
greatest in areas of hilly terrain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

A slow moving cold front will help to generate strong to severe
thunderstorms late Sunday and Sunday night. While the primary threat
of severe weather will come in the form of damaging straight line
winds...a greater risk will come from slow moving torrential
downpours that could result in localized flash flooding. Some sites
could receive in excess of two inches of rain in less than an hour.

In advance of the storms...apparent temperatures (combination of
heat and humidity) Sunday afternoon will reach into the mid and
upper 90s.
